Miscellany Monday - Love Does

Well friends I hope you all had such a fabulous weekend!!!
Today is Monday which means its the day I can write like I think - in bullet points of randomness =)

*  I spent most of the weekend trying not to die of the plague that I managed to pick up somewhere.  Lucky for Jonathan I am not at ALL dramatic and I'm super tough and non-whiny when ill - said no one ever.  I may or may not have told him at least once that I thought I saw the light...
pray for my sweet man.

I don't even know what to say (I know... shocker!) to adequately sum of the awesome factor of this little gem!!  I have devoured it in the last couple days that I was deathly ill and may or may not have seen the light home with a bug and oh how it has fed my soul!  This man LOVES PEOPLE. I mean LOOOOVES people in such an extravegant yet authentiuc way that it make you want to do the same.
Bob (we're like on a first name basis now...OH!! Maybe I'll add him to my list of Pretend BFF's!!) has a simple but beautiful motto for life:

Love God. Love people. Do Stuff.

This is one of those books that I could underline or highlight the whole. thing. but since it is a borrowed book =) I'm taking notes and photos of pages that really get me...
(I seriously am concerned about the level of lazy that I have reached due to the fact that I find it easier to photograph then crop the pages with nuggets I want to keep instead of finding my journal and a pen - the tragedy!)

Miscellany Monday - Where Cosmetics, Football, & Mr. Rogers Collide =)

Happy Monday friends!! I hope you all enjoyed a little break from my neurosis last week =) because I have LOTS to say and share this week!

* I've found a new love....Glossybox.  I think that my new found cosmetic subscription service obsession deserves a post all its own BUT in case this week gets nuts - and by that I mean I get distracted by something shiny - let me go ahead and say - its all name brand products in awesomely generous sample sizes :) I'm. In. love.

*  I think it's pretty clear that I have a full on fanatical love for all things football.  So, it should come as no surprise that I soaked up every nano second of the NFL Draft :)

Truth.

 It's like all my favorite things colliding into one event of total perfection...

I mean - there's a RED CARPET!

And my precious Gamecocks did A-MAZING and all found NFL homes...

I can't wait to see Mr. Lattimore in that 49ers uniform =)

* I am the lucky lady who is married to this rock star:

Why yes...yes, that's my man strutting his mega talented stuff a week or so ago on Broadway :)

 I'm keeping him.

* Two years ago today thiiiis happened...

Miscellany Monday Madness

Hellllllllooooo friends!  Happy Monday to you!  It's one of my fav blogging days  - Miscellany Monday! Link up below and hold on tight... Here comes my random thoughts...

I think I can officially declare this spring to the season where I let lavender nail polish dominate my life.  I was a little nervous that pastels are a smidgen too "Hi - I'm an Easter Egg" but I think I have found the two most perfect shades EV.ER.

Let me introduce you...

Are there other fabulous springy polishes I need to know about?? Don't leave out of the know!

I know that we established some time ago that I have a posse of fabulous (and fake) BFF's =)

Well.

I have decided to invite a new sassy lady love into my crew...

Oh Audrey... Is there any other woman on the planet who has managed to embody such elegance and class and - from what I imagine - still be a little sassy pants when needed? =)

(Side note - I seriously can't get over her fashion choice for walking her pup... I mean... Let's get real here... She looks more pulled together walking her dog than I do going to work.)

(One more side note - I want an occasion to wear long gloves!)

The pollen count here in Nashville is at approximately 4,631% - to be exact.  I didn't know that it was possible to want to claw out your own eyeballs.  Praise the Lord for the Walgreens allergy section because, otherwise....

Pretend BFF's =)

A good gaggle of girlfriends is, in my humble opinion, vital to a girl's ability to survive (and to allow those around her survive on days when she wants to hurt someone..) ... 

I am so blessed to have some fairly fabulous lady loves who have done more than their fair share to keep me sane. 

I feel like you needed to know that I do indeed have REAL friends before I begin my rant on fake ones.... See... I'm establishing my sanity before the next paragraph begins....

With that cleared up...

I know I've alluded on here to the fact that, in my head, I have a fairly killer posse of BFF's.  Since I am not totally out of touch with reality (yet) I do recognize that, in fact, they do not know I exist and, therefore, I refer to them as my Pretend BFF's =)

Does she really need an introduction around here?  I probably ride the line between BFF and stalker.  I mean, I'm probably on a palace watch list or something...

She is so graceful and ladylike and beautiful and OBVIOUSLY in need of my friendship... I mean, I DO throw great baby showers!

Stella McCartney

She is the lovely offspring of this fella:

And I am a mega fan of hers.  She is a crazy talented designer and, in my head, we would hang out in some dingy (but uber cool!) London pub in vintage rock-n-roll t-shirts.  I bet she'd even introduce me to her Uncle Ringo - whom I adore =)

 (It's a good I don't take my illusions too far.... like by dreaming up fake scenarios with people who don't know I'm alive....sigh...)

  I own a Stella bag that I guard like one of my (currently nonexistent) children.

Penelope Garcia

Um. OK... so Penelope is not technically 'real' but this is my fake list of fake BFF's so I figure I can wander as far from reality as I want =)  

I love how she answers the phone and just generally think she's hysterical! I also really want her and Morgan to become a thing because:

Kim Walker-Smith & Misty Edwards

These women LOVE them some Jesus and have more musical talent that I can even fathom!  They have the kind of voices that give me chilly bumps.

I once saw Kim in person but was too flustered to say anything.... I figured that I'd either cry or faint and, you know, that either of those would really be a great way to kick off our friendship.

I seriously don't think she could be any more fabulous...

Not to mention that sister was most definitely Jesus' favorite when it came time to hand out hair favor.

Seriously y'all... it is hair perfection!

Can we please PLEASE be best friends in real life?  

I mean... in my head we've already gone on mani/pedi dates and exchanged bestie necklaces.

There is some chatter that she slipped while chatting it up with the crowd and hinted that she may have a little princess bun in the oven! 

 In a perfect and well scripted case of possible foreshadowing, Kate accepted flowers from a little girl dressed as a princess =)

Well played Royal Family.... well played....

Just to warn everyone within a 300 mile radius, if July brings us a mound of pink blankets I may squeal loud enough to crack windows and send small animals running for cover =)

She also accepted flowers from this little cutie...

When he is about 16, I am sure he'll appreciate that a photo of him with his finger up his nose went viral.  

Finally, the only thing about her little outing that left me puzzled was....

Our Kate sure is a tiny thing....
